“On paper the Black Damascus shouldn’t be possible at this price — VG-10 at a full 60HRC with a proper convex slice edge usually costs a lot more — and in the hand it backs that up. The cobalt-bearing VG-10 takes a genuinely fine edge and holds it through dense, resistant hair far better than the 440C blades a tier down, so blunt lines stay crisp and slide cutting glides instead of pushing. The 3D offset handle keeps the wrist relaxed, and the Damascus-pattern coating is allergy-neutral and scratch-resistant rather than just decorative. It only comes right-handed at 6.0”, so lefties and anyone wanting a compact 5” detail blade are out, and that mid-length size leans more all-round than fine-detail.
