The Mina Rainbow II Master Set is the three-piece configuration: two convex-edge cutting scissors, in lengths you choose, matched to one 30-tooth thinner. The two cutters let you keep a short blade for detail and a longer one for scissor-over-comb, with the thinner handling the blend. All three pieces are SUS440C at 55-57HRC, 42g each, in the allergy-neutral rainbow coating.

“As a budget master kit this makes good sense: two cutting lengths plus a blender in one matched, lightweight set, all for an entry price. Two cutters is the sensible part — I’d pair a 5.5” for detail with a 6.0” or 6.5” for scissor-over-comb rather than ask one blade to do both. The 30-tooth thinner is a gentle blender that lifts a moderate 20-30%, which makes it forgiving to learn on and well suited to softening weight lines, but it finishes rather than debulks, so a dense, coarse head will still want a coarse texturiser on the side. Be straight about the steel too: SUS440C at 55-57HRC takes a usable edge but won’t hold its point like a cobalt grade, so expect the teeth back at the stone sooner, and the rainbow coating — practical and skin-safe though it is — marks at the contact points over time. This build is right-handed. For an apprentice or a student kitting out in one go, the value after the discount is genuinely strong.”
