• Convex slice edge: A rounded bevel on the cutter for smooth blunt lines and slide work.
• 30 V-form teeth on the thinner: Each tooth points to sever the strand cleanly; a blending count that feathers and diffuses.

“As a complete starter-to-pro kit this is good value, and the two pieces split the work cleanly. The convex cutter slices blunt lines and slide-cuts smoothly, while the 30-tooth thinner does the texturising — a blending tooth count that softens a perimeter and diffuses weight without leaving a line, which is most of what a thinner is asked to do. Pick the cutting length to the job: a 5.0” for detail, a 7.0” for over-comb. The 440C at 58-60HRC is honest, well-made stainless and the offset keeps the wrist comfortable through a long day. Two honest points. The V-form teeth sever decisively, so on fine hair work in shallow passes or you will remove more than you intend; and 440C is a workhorse rather than cobalt, so on coarse resistant hair both blades dull sooner than VG-10. It is right-handed only. For a stylist who wants one matched cutting-and-thinning kit without overspending, it is a sound buy.”
