Description

The Ichiro Ergo Serrated Master Set is a three-piece kit: a 5.5” convex slice cutter, a 6.0” micro-serrated cutter, and a 6.0” thinner with 30 traceless teeth — all in stainless alloy steel at 56-58 HRC. Two cutters cover different jobs (the slice for slide cutting, the serrated for scissor-over-comb where the serrations grip the hair), and the thinner takes the weight out.

The thinner is the texturising half and it’s a forgiving spec. “Traceless” describes the tooth form — each tooth is cut to detach the strand cleanly so the blend lands without an obvious step — and at 30 teeth it works at a moderate cut rate (the share of hair removed per closed pass), enough to soften and de-weight without carving a hole.

“As a full three-piece kit this covers a head start to finish, and the thinner is what ties it together. The 6.0” 30-tooth traceless blade is the forgiving everyday spec — clean-detaching teeth at a moderate rate, so you blend layers and soften weight without the visible step a coarse thinner leaves. The two cutters earn their place by doing different jobs: the micro-serrated 6.0” grips the hair for scissor-over-comb and blunt work, while the 5.5” convex slice is the one for slide cutting and softer lines. Two honest notes. The single 30-tooth thinner finishes and de-weights rather than stripping heavy bulk fast, so a stylist clearing very dense heads will want a coarser blade alongside it.
