The Ichiro Offset Hairdressing Set is a straightforward two-piece kit: one convex slice-cutting blade for your foundation work, matched to a 6.0” V-tooth thinner for blending — both in 440C steel at 58-60HRC, so a new stylist or a second-kit buyer has the two jobs covered without mixing brands or tensions. The cutter defaults to 5.0” and sizes up to 7.0”; the thinner stays at 6.0”. This build is right-handed.

“What I like about this set is that the pairing actually makes sense out of the box. You get a convex slice-cutting blade for your foundation work and a separate V-tooth thinner for blending, both in 440C at 58-60HRC, so a new stylist or someone building a second kit has the two jobs covered without mixing brands or tensions. The cutting scissor handles blunt lines and slide cutting cleanly; the thinner is a blending tooth rather than a heavy bulk-remover, so it’s softening weight lines and chasing graduation, not hogging out volume in one pass.

The default is a 5.0” cutter with a 6.0” thinner, and you can size the cutter up to 7.0” if you want more reach. The honest limitation is the same 440C trade-off across both pieces — comfortable to maintain, but not the longest edge life on coarse hair — and it’s right-hand only. For an apprentice or a stylist wanting a coordinated cut-and-blend kit without overspending, it’s a tidy starting point.”
