The Ichiro Offset Master Set is the three-piece configuration: two convex-edge cutting scissors, in any two lengths from 5.0” to 7.0”, matched to a single 6.0” V-tooth thinner. Two cutting sizes let you keep a short blade for detail and a longer one for scissor-over-comb, with one thinner handling the blend across both. Built throughout in 440C steel; this build is right-handed.

“This is the set I point most new stylists and second-kit buyers at, because the maths is simple: two cutting lengths plus a blender, all in the same house feel, for a sensible after-discount price. Choosing two cutting sizes is the smart part — I’d run a 5.5” for detail and a 6.0” or 6.5” for scissor-over-comb rather than force one blade to do both. The 6.0” thinner is a V-tooth blender: it lifts a moderate, even ratio, so it’s there to soften weight lines and chase graduation, finishing a cut cleanly. Be clear on two things. It’s a blending tooth, not a coarse texturiser, so a dense, coarse head that needs real debulking will still want a wide-tooth blade alongside it. And the 440C, while comfortable to hone and consistent across all three pieces, won’t hold its edge as long on wiry hair as cobalt or powdered steel — and this build is right-handed only. For an apprentice or an all-rounder kitting out in one matched case, it’s one of the better-value starting sets we carry.”
