This is a single-purpose 6.0” thinner with a V-form toothed blade — the teeth meet in a V rather than sitting in a rounded U-groove, which gives a slightly more positive bite on the hair it catches. The frontmatter puts it at a 20-25% take on dry hair and 25-30% wet, which is squarely in the blend-and-soften band: enough to remove visible weight and add movement without the hollowing you’d get from a coarse chunker.

“This is the thinner I’d hand a stylist who wants one all-rounder for blending rather than a specialist chunker. At a 20-25% dry take it sits in the range where you can drop it into most cuts — feathering a heavy fringe, softening the weight line on a graduation, breaking up a blunt perimeter — and trust it not to leave a hole if your hand is steady. The V-form teeth catch cleanly and the offset keeps the wrist neutral over a long session.

The honest limit is at the heavy end: if you’re routinely hollowing out thick, coarse hair, a coarser low-tooth-count blade clears bulk in fewer passes than this will. It’s also right-hand only, and being 440C it’ll want honing a little sooner than a cobalt steel once you’re cutting dense hair every day. For everyday blending and movement on a mix of hair, though, it’s a dependable pick.”
