Description

This is a three-piece kit: two convex-edge cutters in your choice of lengths (5.0” through 7.0”) plus a fixed 6.0” thinner carrying 30 V-form teeth. The pink rose-gold colour is a polished coating over the blade; the steel under it is 440C stainless at 58-60HRC. The two cutters let you set up one for detail and one for length, with the single thinner blending across both.

That 30-tooth thinner is a blending count. The teeth meet in a V rather than a rounded U-groove, giving a positive bite, but at 30 teeth the blade still leaves plenty of hair behind per pass — built for refining graduation and feathering weight, not for hollowing a thick head. Heavy bulk removal is a coarser, lower-tooth-count job.

“The appeal of this kit is the two-cutter setup: pick a short blade for detail and over-comb work and a longer one for layers, and let the single 30-tooth thinner blend across both. The convex edges slide cleanly and drop a tidy blunt line, and the V-form teeth bite well enough to feather weight out without dragging.

I’d correct one thing in how these get described, though — a 30-tooth blade is a blender, not a chunker. It softens and refines; it won’t strip bulk from a thick, coarse head in a couple of passes the way a coarse low-tooth-count blade will. If aggressive removal is your daily work, run a coarser thinner alongside this. The 440C is dependable but not a hard cobalt steel, so it’ll want honing sooner under dense use, and handedness is fixed per variant. For a stylist who blends more than they hollow, it’s a well-judged set.”
