Description

This is a single-purpose 6.0” thinner with a V-form toothed blade — the teeth meet in a V rather than a rounded U-groove, giving a positive bite on the strands they catch. Its frontmatter rate of 20-25% dry and up to 30% wet places it in the blend-and-soften band: enough to lift visible weight and add movement without the hollowing a coarse chunker produces. The pink rose-gold colour is a polished coating over the blade, with the 440C stainless beneath running 58-60HRC.

“This is a blending thinner, and a tidy one. At a 20-25% dry take it sits where you can drop it into most cuts to soften a weight line, feather a fringe or break up a blunt perimeter, and the V-form teeth with their fine grooves catch cleanly without dragging. The offset keeps the hand relaxed through a long blending pass, and the coloured finish is genuinely kind to nickel-sensitive skin.

I’d correct the ‘chunking’ label, though — at this rate it doesn’t strip bulk. On a thick, coarse head you’ll be making several passes where a coarse low-tooth-count blade would clear it faster, so reach for one of those when heavy removal is the job. It’s also right-hand and left-hand specific per variant, and the 440C wants honing sooner than a cobalt steel under daily dense work. For everyday softening and movement, it earns its keep.”
