The Ichiro Rose Gold is a 6.0” thinning scissor with a 30-tooth blade, finished in rose-gold titanium PVD over 440C stainless. Thirty teeth is the practical middle of the range — fewer teeth (around 7-15) remove a lot of weight per pass and are the choice for fast debulking, while higher-count blades (40-plus) barely whisper at the hair for the finest finishing. “If you want one thinner to do most of your texturising, 30 teeth is the count I’d recommend, and that’s exactly what this is. It blends layers, softens a hard graduation and takes a little weight out of thicker sections without leaving channel marks — the genuine all-rounder. The honest limit is the flip side of that versatility: it’s a blender, not a debulker, so when I need to pull serious weight out of very thick hair fast I reach for a coarser, lower-tooth blade instead. The other caveat is the steel — 440C at 58-60HRC is dependable and easy to maintain, just keep up the oiling and tension so the teeth stay clean. For everyday blending and softening, on either hand, it’s a sound, well-judged choice and the rose-gold finish wears better than bare polish.”
