“The SNT-40 is the most surgical thinner I’d put in front of a stylist, and the number that matters is the 5% cut ratio. Forty teeth, each with tiny grooves in the tip to grip and shear a single strand at a time, means it barely takes anything per pass — and that’s the whole point. This is for invisible volume control and the most delicate blending, the kind of work where you’re feathering weight out of fine hair or a soft fringe and cannot afford a line.
