“With only 21 teeth, the Chomper is a finishing and detailing texturiser, not a bulk-removal blade — and that’s precisely where it shines. Fewer, finely-serrated V-teeth mean you can sink it in for point-thinning ends, breaking up weight lines and softening a blunt edge with control, leaving texture rather than the obvious shelf a high-tooth thinner can carve. The VG-10 at 60-62HRC is the real story: at this hardness the teeth bite cleanly and stay sharp, which matters more on a thinner than on any cutter because dull teeth fold and tug hair mercilessly. The offset handle and 6.0” length keep it comfortable for detailed work. If your goal is to strip serious volume out of thick hair fast, the low tooth count will frustrate you — reach for a 30T-plus blade instead.
