The Aero-Pro is a weight-led matched set: a 36g cutting scissor paired with your choice of texturiser, built in Japan from a cobalt alloy chosen to keep the blades light without giving up edge. The texturiser is the half that does your thinning, and you choose its character by tooth count. The APT-30 (30 teeth, 30% ratio) is the everyday blender; the APT-40 (40 teeth, 40% ratio) removes more for thicker hair. Both run a stepped convex (dan-ha) edge, which sets the cutting bevel back from the tooth tips so hair is gripped and released with little resistance.
