The Kamisori Black Diamond III Set pairs a VG-10 crane-handle cutter with a matching 30-tooth thinner, both carrying the same Japanese 3D convex edge. The thinner is the texturising half of the kit: 30 teeth on a convex bevel sits in blend-and-soften territory, so it diffuses weight and melts demarcation lines rather than carving heavy chunks.

The 30-tooth thinner on a 3D convex edge blends softly — it is the tool for breaking up weight near the surface and dissolving a hard line into the cut, leaving no shelf.
