This is the three-piece Master configuration: two Sword cutting scissors in lengths you choose, paired with the 6.5” Sword thinner, so one matched kit gives you a short detailer, a longer blade and a texturiser that all share the same angled-blade family. The set is built in Kamisori SUS440C with the 3D Convex edge, and offered in true left- and right-handed grinds.

“This is the big one — two Sword cutters plus a 6.5-inch thinner, so you can run a short detailer and a longer blender off the same angled-blade family and texturise to match. That angled sword profile is the Sword line’s signature: it drops the cutting point lower into the hair, which I find suits deep point cutting and slide work where you want the tips engaged. The 3D convex glides, and the SUS440C takes a sharp, easy-to-maintain edge.

Two things to weigh. SUS440C is a dependable stainless, but it’s a softer steel than the cobalt ATS314 grades, so expect to hone a touch more often under heavy daily loads — that’s the trade for the lower entry against the cobalt sets. And the thinner is a single 6.5, so the texturising density is fixed rather than tuned to a tooth count. Credit where due: it’s offered in a true left-hand grind, not a flipped right, so southpaws get a properly reversed ride. For a master stylist who wants two cutting lengths in one matched, ambidextrous kit, it’s a lot of capability for the money.”
