Description

The Kamisori Sword is a 6.5” texturising shear built around the line’s angled sword blade — a profile that drops the cutting point lower into the hair, so the teeth engage where you want them for detailing rather than only at the shape’s surface. It is cut from KAMISORI ATS314, a cobalt-bearing Japanese steel, and finished with the Kamisori 3D Convex edge for a smooth, quiet close.

“This is a texturiser I reach for when the brief is movement and separation rather than invisible blending. The angled sword profile is the whole point — it lowers the engaged section of the blade into the hair, which suits deep point cutting and slide texturising where you want the tips doing the work, and the cobalt ATS314 keeps a keen edge so each pass cuts clean instead of folding hair over. The 3D Convex close is genuinely smooth. Two honest limitations. The product doesn’t publish a tooth count, so judge the removal rate on your own first cuts and build up gradually — over-thinning is far easier to commit than to undo. And the finger rest is fixed, so the grip is what it is; test it against your hand before you commit, particularly if you ride a swivel elsewhere in your kit.
