Description
The Kasho Design Master 15-tooth is a true texturiser, not a blending thinner. With only 15 wide-set teeth on a 6.0” semi-convex blade, it removes generous, visible chunks in a single pass — the tool for carving movement, separation and deliberate texture into a finished cut and dropping weight fast where you want it.
- 440C steel at 58-60HRC: A properly hardened stainless that takes a clean edge on the teeth and holds it.
- 15 wide-set teeth: A coarse, low count that takes large bites — for visible chunking and movement, not soft blending.
- Semi-convex blade: Keeps each bite clean rather than folding or pushing the hair.
- Camel-back offset handle: A raised thumb line that keeps the wrist neutral through repetitive work.
- Adjustable ratchet screw: Dial the tension and it holds.
- 6”, right-handed; satin finish.
Professional Opinion
“A 15-tooth blade is a true texturiser, not a blending thinner, and that distinction is the whole point of this one. With only 15 wide-set teeth it removes generous, visible chunks — it’s the tool for carving movement, separation and deliberate texture into a finished cut, dropping weight fast where you want it. The semi-convex blade keeps each bite clean rather than chewing, and Kasho’s 440C at 58-60HRC is properly hardened stainless with the build quality the name carries. The camel-back offset handle and ratchet tension screw make it comfortable and easy to dial in. Be clear-eyed about what coarse teeth mean, though: this is not a subtle finisher, and on fine or sparse hair 15 teeth can leave gaps or look heavy-handed if you over-work a section — for soft, traceless blending you’d want a 30-plus-tooth thinner instead. It’s also right-handed only. For a stylist or barber who wants to add real texture and visible movement, it’s a precise, well-made specialist.”
