“At 38 teeth this is the finest blender in the Design Master thinning line, and the high tooth count is exactly what defines its job. Closely-spaced teeth remove only a little hair per pass while spreading the cut evenly, so it’s the tool for the softest, most invisible work — feathering a perimeter, melting away a demarcation line, finishing fine to medium hair with no shelf or hole. The semi-convex blade keeps every detachment clean, and the 440C at 58-60HRC is dependable, properly hardened stainless with Kasho’s build behind it; the camel-back offset and ratchet screw make it comfortable to dial in. The flip side of so many teeth is that it removes very little weight per pass — this is a finisher, not a debulker, and trying to strip a thick, coarse head with it will have you there all afternoon, where a 15-tooth texturiser would do it in moments. It’s right-handed only. For detail-focused stylists who prize seamless, natural finishes above all, it’s the right tool for the job.”
