“If you only own one Kasho thinner, the 30-tooth is the one I’d point most people to — it sits right in the middle of the Design Master line, between the coarse 15-tooth texturiser and the fine 38-tooth blender, and that makes it the genuine all-rounder. Thirty teeth remove a moderate, even amount of weight: enough to soften a blunt line and take real bulk down a notch, but forgiving enough that a slightly heavy hand won’t leave a visible hole. The semi-convex blade detaches cleanly with no fold-and-tug, and the 440C at 58-60HRC is consistent, well-made stainless with the camel-back offset keeping the wrist comfortable. Honest framing: being the middle option, it’s a master of none at the extremes — it won’t carve dramatic chunk like the 15-tooth, nor feather as invisibly as the 38-tooth, so a specialist in either direction will reach past it. It’s right-handed only. As a daily, do-most-things thinner for general salon work, though, it’s the safe, sensible pick of the three.”
