The Mina Jay II Master Set is a three-piece kit that covers cut and blend in one matched family: two cutting scissors in sizes you choose, plus a 6.0” thinner with 30 V-form teeth. All three share the same SUS440C steel at 58-60 HRC, the same satin finish and the same discreet internal tension, so they feel like one set rather than three odd tools.

The thinner is the texturising half, and it’s a sensible everyday spec. Its 30 V-shaped teeth meet the opposite blade at a point to shear each strand cleanly — the difference between a smooth blend and a snagged one — and at 30 teeth it takes a moderate cut rate (the share of hair removed per closed pass), enough to soften and de-weight without leaving a visible step.
