The thinner is the texturising half and it’s a forgiving everyday spec. Its 30 V-shaped teeth meet the opposite blade at a point and shear each strand cleanly, which keeps the blend free of snag marks, and at 30 teeth it removes a moderate share of weight per closed pass — that’s the cut rate — enough to soften and de-weight without leaving a visible step.
