At 30 teeth it sits in the middle of the thinning range, taking out a moderate 20–30% of weight per closed pass: enough to soften and de-bulk, gentle enough that an even hand won’t punch a hole.

That mid-range spec at a 20–30% take is the most forgiving thing to put in a working hand — it lightens and blends weight without the risk of a visible step you get from a coarse, wide-tooth thinner. The V-form teeth detach cleanly, including through wet hair, and the satin finish means no glare and no slip when your hands warm up.
