The Yasaka Offset Hairdressing Scissor Set pairs one ATS-314 cobalt cutter with a matching 6” thinner whose tooth count you choose. Both carry a clam-shaped convex slice edge on an offset handle. The thinner’s tooth count is the decision that shapes the set, so choose it to the hair you cut.

• ATS-314 cobalt stainless steel: A hard, fine-grained alloy that takes a keen edge and holds it.
• Convex slice cutter: A clam-shaped rounded bevel for smooth blunt lines and slide work.
• 6” thinner, your tooth count:
  • YS-160 (16 teeth): about 30-40% removed — coarse texture, heavy weight reduction.
  • YS-200 (20 teeth): about 30-40% removed — a balanced all-round texturiser.
  • YS-300 (30 teeth): about 20-35% removed — softer, more invisible blending.
  • YS-400 (40 teeth): about 40-50% across many fine teeth — fine diffusion for clipper blending.
• Offset handle: Natural thumb position that keeps the wrist relaxed across long sessions.
• Cutting lengths 4.5”-6.0”; handmade in Japan. Mostly debulking thick hair? Take the 16T or 20T. Mostly finishing? Take the 30T or 40T.
